Bringing technology to the classroom

I want to thank you again for the opportunity to receive this grant, to purchase a tablet which enables me to interact with my students in a more direct way in the classroom.  Though this is not the original tablet I had in mind, I took Mr. Ledbetter up on his offer to see about getting an Apple device for a lesser amount.

New independence

I no longer stand behind a document camera to instruct.  I am able to move about the classroom, check in on students/small groups as we work problems together or as they work independently and I monitor.  I also do this while recording the day's lesson during one class period each day.

New found freedom

I post the lesson on our digital organizer so that any student who misses class can complete the lesson at home (or wherever they may be) without missing important content.  I absolutely love the freedom it gives me to interact with my students.

Here are a few pictures from instruction; with a group, moving about the room, and monitoring while instructing.  What a great addition to our classroom.  Thank you, again.
